Through my years of experience in dieting and fitness, I have found breakfast to be a crucial meal for losing weight. Since breakfast is the first meal of the day, most of us want it to taste delicious while being healthy. Forcefully eating something in the name of health may give you energy but is likely to leave you unsatisfied. To solve the dilemma between taste and nutrition, I often go for pancakes as they can be topped with anything to make them more delicious. The package contains two pancakes which are enough for a hearty breakfast while providing ample fibers and grains to the body. The pancakes contain just 3 grams of total fat while giving 4 grams of dietary fiber, 6 grams of protein and 160 calories to the consumer. The ingredients of the pancake consist of whey, sugar, buttermilk, whole grain flour, whole eggs, soybean oil, maple nuggets, whey protein concentrate, baking powder, salt along with natural flavor of maple butter. You are advised to check the ingredients carefully as they contain milk, wheat and soy along with other substances which may be allergic or undesirable to many people.

I find the preparation method quite easy as I generally use a microwave to make these pancakes by Nutrisystem. For a standard microwave of 1100 watts, you should first remove the pancakes from the packaging and place them in one (single) layer over a plate which is microwave safe. Then place the plate inside the microwave and turn on the microwave at 100 percent power or HIGH mode for one minute. While using a conventional oven, you need to preheat the oven till 350F. Then unwrap and place the pancakes in one layer over an ungreased sheet for baking. After around 6 to 8 minutes, the pancakes will be ready to eat.

 

You can also prepare these pancakes using a toaster. After unwrapping the pancakes, you need to place them in the toaster and turn it on at low or light setting. However, a toaster can require more than one cycles before the pancakes are cooked and you should be careful while handling the hot pancakes. You should adjust your appliances accordingly to get the best results to match your taste and preference.

 

This breakfast meal is my perfect solution for a delicious breakfast as I often pair it with fruits, honey and sugar free syrups. The high fiber and protein content provides me ample energy and nutrition while the ease of preparing it allows me make a filling breakfast within a few minutes. I also prefer to add extra items such as eggs, bacon or sausage for added energy when I on a heavy exercise routine. On the other hand, I only have them with a glass of juice on normal days. You can also match pancakes with different items and lose weight quickly by eating what you like.
